John Lydon’s original handwritten lyrics to the Sex Pistols classics “Holidays in the Sun” and “Submission” are up for auction. The notorious Pistols’ frontman wrote out his song lyrics on both sides of the same sheet of paper, even crossing out words and phrases in order to get the lyrics perfect. RR Auction estimates that the lyrics sheet will sell for at least $80,000, but the highest bid is currently only $30,800. The auction closes on November 21. Lydon also just announced that his post-Pistols band, Public Image Limited, is once again hitting the road. PiL are set to embark on a headlining tour of the UK and Ireland in 2025. “People were so overwhelmingly positive, and they asked me to tour PiL again,” Lydon wrote, “With so many people asking and with the band meaning so much to them, I couldn’t just stay on my sofa and not tour – tempting though that obviously is.” (Rolling Stone)
